With us you can spend your vacation or a long weekend by the sea in a double room, in an apartment with kitchen or in an apartment. During a stay in Berum Castle, the spacious castle park is also the garden of our guests. The various seats can be used to linger, read, for a summer dinner or of course for a cup of tea in the afternoon. The roundabout, the orchard or the tree swing also invite all the little guests to play. Our house is particularly suitable for combining rooms, apartments and holiday flats and for traveling with friends or family. We are happy to advise you on room combinations. A whole castle for you? For celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, baptisms or family reunions, we also provide the entire Berum Castle with a garden exclusively. Feel free to contact us. We look forward to guests who only visit the castle, East Frisia and the region for a short time. For bookings of less than three nights, however, we have to add 20% of the room rate – no hidden costs! Cleaning, linen packages with towels and bed linen are of course included in the room prices.

The holiday apartment “De Schüünte” is on the upper floor with a view of the wonderful castle park. From the former battlement, the hallway of the apartment, one also has a view of the moat surrounding the castle. “De Schüünte” – Frisian for “the slope” – is what makes this charming apartment so special. Over the centuries, the entire apartment or its floor sloped towards the garden with the heavy walls of the castle. Dedicated to their location near the sea, the residents of “De Schüünte” should therefore be “seaworthy and stable”. (We advise against booking the apartment for guests with impaired balance or ability to walk.) The apartment is an ideal starting point to discover the beautiful East Frisia, but a day with “bad weather” can also be wonderfully spent here thanks to the fireplace and the cozy tranquility of the castle.
